CORPORATE PROFILE

Engineering Consultants, Inc. is one of the oldest structural consulting firms in Arkansas. The company was started by an engineer named Lee Bransford in February of 1964.  Bransford had previously been employed at the architectural firm Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson.  He opened an office in the Hall Building on Capitol Ave in Little Rock, AR.  A few years later, in March of 1969, Carl Brunck became a partner at Engineering Consultants, Inc.  In June of 1974, Jim Brown became the third partner of the company.  Bransford, Brunck and Brown led the company until December 1990 when Bransford retired.  Brunck retired the following year in September.  At this time Jim Brown assumed the position of president, and serves in this capacity until the present. As Bransford and Brunck retired, two new partners were brought in to take their place.  Frank Allison became partner in January 1991 and Ritchie Brown became partner September of that same year.  In 1999, the company moved its office into the Lyon Building.  The office in Lowell, AR was opened in October 2003 to better serve the growing market in northwest Arkansas. Also in October 2003, Grant Jordan was promoted to become the fourth partner.
